We aim to mitigate the obstacles that both doctor and patient can face when initiating medical cannabis treatment. This includes preparation for and presence during consultations, the writing of prescriptions and documentation, access to prescribed medication, regulatory paperwork and guidance in the practical use of your medicine.
Many patients1 who use cannabis for medical purposes obtain the product through illegal sources, where the content, potency and thus the safety of the product can vary significantly2. This can produce wide variations in the effects observed between products and keep the patient from getting sound medical advice. It is important for doctors to be well-educated with regard to the use, dosage and safety of medical cannabis, so that they can guide patients towards legal prescriptions and correct and safe administration.
